ZOW's own patent pending technologies are in the fields of creating Virtual Performers, ASR applications and the Telephone ShowTM. With its technology, ZOW creates computer generated "entities" which are sophisticated enough to function as intelligent actors. These Virtual Performers, supported by Complex Intelligence, are assigned roles to play in interactive audio entertainments.
WHAT? No Pictures? Only Voice?
There always seems to be that one guy who asks us "gee, what fun could ZOW be if there are no pictures and only voice?" It is true that the telephone has no precedent for voice. The fact that the phone has been a device used primarily by billions of people around the world for over fifty years as a communication device where people "talk" to each other without seeing each other shouldn't come into play here. Great financial failures like Phone Sex (yes, without pictures) should only strengthen their argument! J We have had some of our most entertaining moments over the telephone with people that could have easily passed for ZOW's "artificial intelligence" players!
Well, we have two answers. The first - business. Every phone in the world can handle "voice", very few phones in very few countries are able to handle interactive TV. So we thought we would go out and build the market while the rest of the world "waited for the future". And guess what, by the time the world has interactive TV over the phone, ZOW will be right there, but with years of experience and a huge client base. Our second answer - ZOW can create an uneven playing field. ZOW's engine "pings" the caller to find out the capabilities of their phone. If they can interface MMS with their audio or even cooler, can receive streaming video while talking on the phone, ZOW will repaginate the program accordingly.
All ZOW Telephone Shows work with Virtual Performers who display emotions, remember events, speak in human-like flexible speech patterns, improvise, understand the responses of their human partners, and follow a script. Virtual Performers are not "alive"; they just seduce their human partners into "willingly suspending disbelief" and accept the Virtual Performers as if they were "real".
User Management
ZOW's engines offer detailed User Management and Database information for capturing data off the program and sending it over the Internet in real time. This creates a great tie-in between the telephone call and a web or WAP site. User Management also allows Callers to "enroll" for their own PIN numbers thereby allowing them to "grow" with each call back.
MMS, SMS and more
ZOW's programs also complement and relate to SMS revenue generating applications. For example, in the ZOW Soccer Show, Callers can send SMS challenges to their buddy list and invite them to compete with them.
